CHILD LITERACY VISAYAS 2008 to 2009

We are a club comprised of International members based on Mactan Island, Cebu, Philippines

Work with us in providing the poor and destitute people of Mactan Island with many of basic human needs we
take for granted such as fresh water, health care, nutrition and education. For them such things are still
a dream that we together have the power to make them a reality. 

 Message from Chair Child Literacy Visayas.

Rotary International President Dong Kurn Lee adopted the Theme “ MAKE DREAMS REAL “ for the World’s Children this Year and is urging Rotary Clubs to use their Resources to help curb CHILD MORTALITY.

As Task Force Chairman for Child Literacy, I received a Challenge in helping to realize and accomplish his Dream, by allowing it to become my Dream.

The German Poet and Philosopher Johann Wolfgang von Goethe once said:

“And if the World goes down Tomorrow, I will still plant an Apple Tree Seedling Today.”

What ever will be Tomorrow, let’s follow our Dreams Today and let them become our World of Tomorrow – one in which Children have the best possible Chance at survival and the Opportunity to reach their Dreams.
